Shiprock Pentecostal Church Needs

Help this Navajo-led, Navajo-reaching ministry grow!

This church is conducted and supported solely by a small group of Navajos motivated only by their conviction of faith in Jesus Christ.  This congregation is non-affiliated with any national body, and is therefore supported only by the tithes and offerings given by members themselves, in an area of the country where the average annual income is $12,000.  This church runs on a weekly intake of around $100.  This vital and growing community of Navajos doing good work for the Navajo people is in desperate need of support from outside people of faith.

Urgent Needs:

  • A large tent of our own under which we can host our annual, well-attended camp meeting each June. A 60'x80' tent will cost us around $12,000
  • A covered trailer to transport the equipment (small tent, chairs, platform) for our tent ministry
  • A computer and printer
  • A building for our church school

Other Needs:

  • Several hundred folding chairs, to supplement the 100 we own
  • Teaching materials for all ages, particularly young children
  • Craft supplies for young children's ministry

Met Needs: Ahéhee’ and God Bless You!

We give thanks for the following people and organizations for their support:

  • to Andrew Begay and his organization for helping us to build a badly-needed new church building
  • to Pastor Mona and Au' Inca Door of Hope Ministry for helping us to furnish our new church building with 115 yards of carpet, 51 boxes of tile, lighting and shades for the inside of the building, and shelving and a microwave oven for the kitchen.
  • to Pastor Mona and Au' Inca Door of Hope Ministry for their yearly support of our camp meeting and church. We are especially thankful for their semi truck full of goods to be distributed each year, their work on our old church building (including new siding and a remodeled kitchen with running water), and all the new bikes and toys they bring each year to the VBS they run for us.
  • to Don Piper Ministries for providing us with the funds to purchase an electric pole with outlets for electricity and security light during our camp meeting ($1200) and funds for us to complete our church site lease with the Navajo Nation ($1400).
  • to Apostle Nigel Bigpond and the Two Rivers Native American Ministry for an electric keyboard to use during worship.
