Ya'at'eeh and Welcome!

Welcome

Shiprock Pentecostal Church is a small but vibrant faith community in the northwest corner of New Mexico, just outside the small town of Shiprock (Nataani Nez) on the Navajo Reservation.  It is a Navajo Christian church in every sense: it is led by pastor Wallace Begay and co-pastor Alice Norton (both Navajo), attended by almost exclusively Navajo believers, and holds services conducted primarily through the Navajo language.   It is a place where Navajo Christians feel connected to their culture but can also express their Spirit-filled conviction in the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Vision Statement

First Nations reaching other First Nations with the uncompromising gospel of Jesus Christ - Demonstrating Christ's love - Binding up the wounded - Seeking out the lost - Discipling through small style groups - Building up spiritually minded young people and families with spiritual depth and focus.

Help this Navajo-led, Navajo-reaching ministry grow!

This church is conducted and supported solely by a small group of Navajos motivated only by their conviction of faith in Jesus Christ.  This congregation is non-affiliated with any national body, and is therefore supported only by the tithes and offerings given by members themselves, in an area of the country where the average annual income is $12,000.  This vital and growing community of Navajos doing good work for the Navajo people is in desperate need of support from outside people of faith.
